To rediscover the ingredients available around us, Séverine proposes a creative, seasonal cuisine based on products from our own vegetable garden, local organic market gardeners Esteban and Léontine, the REGAR garden project, and the village’s own local shop.
Our permaculture veggie garden is cultivated with the help of volunteer residents and the kitchen scraps and leftovers feed our black Gascon pig.
Wine is essentially fruit! Come and discover the flavours that these wine producers have been able to bring to the forefront, with an emphasis on local grape varieties and wine producing methods that are as natural as possible. Available by the glass, the bottle, in situ or to take away… And every year for Bouche à Oreille’s birthday you can come and meet the wine producers at the « Vins d'Autant » wine fair.
The BAO is a SCIC: a non-profit organisation with over 120 members in 4 working groups:
1- Food, from the garden to the plate;
2- Culture and popular education;
3- Development of local economy initiatives;
4- Ethics and transmission, who assure the democracy of the project.
We have new artists exhibiting their creations every month, giving us new ways of seeing the village and the world.
Concerts spread throughout the year and seasons create a space to meet up, relax, have fun, ask ourselves questions and motivate our collaborative work.
Every morning, lunchtime and evening, the older generation, artisans, parents, and young people can be found here in our café putting the world to rights over a coffee and a game of cards (belote tournament every Thursday evening).
Wi-fi, PCs, printing, Point Vert to get out cash, fishing licenses, drop-off/pick-up point, cantine for the leisure centre… Le Bouche à Oreille facilitates your life in the village.
In addition to the 5 offices on the floor above the bar, our cooperative now also oversees the house Espant’art. It houses around 10 artists and designers in workshops and on the ground floor there is a local artisanal boutique. These spaces help boost the village’s economic activity. And renting one is a great way to establish yourself in Simorre.
Artist interventions, parades, a village orchestra, an artist’s residence, courses in collective dynamics, support for local festivals (Festidrôle, fête de la pêche, Mode In Simorre, Par monts et par mots…), le Bouche à Oreille is constantly developing its initiatives.
